The Asian Conference on Ethics, Religion & Philosophy (ACERP) is now in its seventh year and is held annually alongside The Asian Conference on Psychology & the Behavioral Sciences (ACP). Since 2009 more than 1,500 delegates have attended this annual interdisciplinary event, which takes place in Japan in the spring.
In 2016 ACERP/ACP attracted 232 attendees representing 37 countries – a truly international event. This diversity serves as a wonderful comparative and contrastive resource.
The majority of ACERP/ACP conference attendees are university faculty, with 56% holding an academic post. At 31% of the total registered delegates, postgraduate and doctoral students make up the next largest group of attendees. The remaining attendees come from the business sector (3%) and the public sector (2%), with 1% registered as "independent" and 7% registered as "other".
